It seems to me that the main reason of this situation is progressive laziness and secularization of the contemporary society. Even Sunday is for many people, no holiday, but only another usual day of week. It happened that often more important is comfort, pleasure and fun than some kind of tradition and rules transfer from generation to generation. According to me culture of West isn't always appropriate and we should be careful. Because we will some day get up and we won't know what is good and what isn't.
