„Romeo and Juliet”
The book I have recently read is „Romeo and Juliet” by William Shakespeare and first published in England in 1525. „Romeo and Juliet” was written around 1500s, when Shakespeare was producing some of his best writing. He was about 26 years old when he wrote it. Now, William Shakespeare is a basic figure in English literature.
The play is set in Verona, Italy in the late 1595. It tells the story of two teenagers who fall in love, despite the fact that their families, the Capulets and the Montagues, have been feuding for years.
Old Capulet, Juliet’s father, is holding a party for all his friends. The Montagues are not invited, of course, but Romeo goes to the party in disguise. While he is there, he sees Juliet and they instantly fall in love. Although Romeo found out that Juliet was a Capulet, he still wanted to see her. Usually it takes some time for people to truly fall in love. But when Romeo first saw Juliet it was love at first sight. Later Juliet goes out onto the balcony of her room while Romeo is waiting in the garden below. Romeo reveals his love to her and the next day they are secretly married.
Meanwhile, Juliet’s father, ignorant of his daughter’s marriage, decides to marry her to another young man named Paris. But I will not tell you anything more because I do not want to spoil the pleasure of discovering the brilliant plot of the book. If you want know more, you must read this book, you won’t regret.
,,Romeo and Juliet” combines misunderstanding, tragedy, humour, and some of the most romantic language found in literature- all in the name of true love.
Don’t miss this book, you won’t regret. It will change the way you think about love and human nature. „Romeo and Juliet” is really worth reading and I am going to do it again.
